John 4:28-29, "Then the woman left her waterpot beside the well and went back to the village and told everyone, “Come and meet a man who told me everything I ever did! Can this be the Messiah?” 30 So the people came streaming from the village to see him". We are in a world where everyone is about the number. And that's why a lot of persons get discouraged when they are able to reach out to just few persons at a time or one person at a time. But reading through the book of John 4, the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well. This just shows that even Jesus goal was, "If I can reach out to just this woman, I'll get the whole city of samaria".Boy, did it work out? Absolutely! It did. He spoke to one woman and that one woman brought a whole city.
I'm encouraging myself as well as encouraging someone out there and this has in fact been my driving force, "DO IT FOR ONE PERSON". This has helped me stay on course because I realized that impacting or reaching out to just one person could mean you likely reaching out to a nation. I have a personal story to this effect, "I got born again through a book I read and gave my friend to read it and she got born again through it too. As at the time we both got born again we both had our Good dreams but definitely not God dreams, today I'm in ministry and she is a missionary. God bless the writer, if she wrote that book for just both of us, and definitely bless my dad who bought the book and to me who gave the book to my friend too". This is just my story, yours will definitely not be this way. But the bottom line is and your goal should be, one person at a time, definitely they could be more. But if you always have it mind that you would do it just for one person, then you are less likely to give up!
