Because 1/2 hour before I took this photo I sipped a hot brew of Guatemalan beans...freshly ground in LA.
And because I remember how, many years before this, I first saw a Jacaranda tree...and it took my breath away.
Of course there's that one time, long ago, when we free dove in clear-blue seas; caught our dinner... then made love on a powder-soft, deserted beach.
Because my heart skipped and fluttered then too...to a sweet and naturally beautiful beat... just like that first time I laid eyes on a Jacaranda tree.
Because when this beautiful man came walking down the street, I was very busy gazing at this pink Jacaranda tree.
And because as he came near, I saw his jacaranda-pink guitar even before its music hit my ears.
Because when the Sun rose high as his body crossed the boughs, Her rays, and the colors, and his music, and my heart... all met somehow.
I looked at him. He looked at me. I said, "you're as beautiful as a Jacaranda Tree." He asked, "my music too?" I said, "of course...because it comes from you..." And because I kept this photo in its purest state. The sun as filter... with natural shadows and natural shade.
Because I thank God for the natural poetry of beautiful brothers, pink guitars and Jacaranda Trees ...on this blessed #EarthDay #Amen
