Do you want to chase FEELINGS or do you want to chase RESULTS?
Training harder does not always mean more weight, more reps, or more sets. Training harder, more often than not, means aiming to move more effectively. More precisely. More beautifully.
It is easier to track progress in terms of QUANTITY for its instant gratification, but QUALITY matters just as much, if not more.
You may run faster or lift more weight, but has that translated to greater ease of daily movement or are you too frequently injured to progress any further? You may make more money, but has that translated to an overall more rewarding life or an overall more stressful life?
Increases in quantity are sustained through baselines of quality. To avoid plateaus in achieving our big picture goals, we must be mindful of ensuring our quality keeps pace with our quantity.
