Since my account had first started, one of my main points that I would always push through, is to argue against the political parties "switch" that is popularly known by many today. Since then, I've been getting a lot of feedback that tells me to watch the movie entitled "Hillary's America." Recently, I have examined the plot and I am not too fond of it. Although the movie lists actual events of the Democratic Party's "evil" history, there are many negatives to it that deem it as biased right winged propaganda, as the movie revolves around a few broad statements, making the argument biased. Dinesh D'Souza created this movie to fit the narrative of the Democrats being "evil" and "terrifying," while portraying scenes of Andrew Jackson forcing the Native Americans out of their homeland, violent whipping action towards African Americans, as well as a scene depicting Woodrow Wilson watching "Birth of a Nation." What really intrigued me, was the fact that he makes this broad claim of the Democrats today being the same party it was in the 1800s-early 1900s, only listing one bad liberal, FDR denying blacks the "New Deal" benefits, while also turning a blind eye on the liberal wing that had started to agree with the GOP on the civil rights issue, as Democratic liberal president Harry Truman had been in support of the civil rights movement, resulting in the creation of the Dixiecrats to oppose him and the other liberals in favor of it. D'Souza argues against the "switch" of the two parties, claiming that the Democrats simply "switched tactics," creating a "plantation" for black votes. While it is undeniable that Democrats do seem to only care for votes, as they haven't done much to improve the inner cities and life for the many minorities living in those places, they were also the ones who messed things up in the first place, the film maker ignores this and falsely claims today's Democrats as the same racist southern Dixiecrats in the past who were in favor of Jim Crow laws, black codes, and the KKK, while also claiming that they're trying to run a modern day "plantation." Don't be fooled by right winged propaganda, it's just as bad as the lefts propaganda. Any thoughts?
