I'm thinking about starting to pull my red onions so that I can use the space for warm weather crops. These don't look like they are actually forming bulbous ends like I thought that they would.....

Here is my confession! I am amazed how beautiful my instafriends look in their gardens. I don't know what is wrong with me; this is how I look like in the garden these days. I don't think you would want to see the top. Meanwhile, my planting season goes a little hard. I only can work out while my husband is at home because of Bahar's condition. Also, my injured hand still has not healed well. As I am forcing it to till my garden, I wake up with swelling hand everyday. I try my best to grow some stuff this summer since I possibly will not grow anything next year. #dirt #nofilter #nofilterneeded #garden #thehappygardeninglife #backyard #backyardgardener #happy #organic #healthy #growsomethinggreen #grow #growyourownfood #gardenplantlover #lovemygarden #homestead #gogreen #nature #urban #hydrovegan #urbandecay #seedsnow #healthyfood #arkansas #littlerock #spring #mygarden #boots #urbanorganicgardener #urbangardenersrepublic

The snapdragons love this weather. I can't remember the last time that I've had such huge snapdragons. They have been flowering for months and don't show any signs of slowing down.

Herbal oils are so easy to make and are so soothing too.  You don't even have to be an herb grower to make them yourself.  Recently I fell. (Don't ask.  Really dumb) I grabbed my goldenrod and dandelion oil to help heal my body.  So learn how to make your own herbal oils for life's bumps and bruises (or falls.) Do you make your own oils and if so which ones are your favorites? (Link in the profile.) PS if you need comfrey, I still have a lot in #annaleeherbs shop on Etsy for sale.

Have you built a bug hotel yet?. . Insect hotels are winter lodgings for your backyard crawling and flying bugs. Usually made of found or upcycled materials around your yard, these hotels consist of different suites catered to each little bug’s preferred lodging taste. Most hotels are constructed with a strong protective frame of wood boards or pallets and are filled with a variety of bug-friendly materials like straw, cork, sticks, or pinecones. Insect hotels provide safe areas for solitary insects to hibernate over winter. Big lawns and the lack of dead wood in our yards leaves wild bees, spiders, and ladybugs without a place to live. Building accommodations for beneficial insects like ladybugs or flying pollinators can help benefit both your environment and your garden in the spring. As you are doing your Spring clean-up, you can find all sorts of odds/ends for this project. Or perhaps as you are getting ready for Fall, and this would be an excellent time to consider building an insect hotel.
